Is Xscape Milton Keynes Getting the World’s Biggest Tumble Dryer?

Let’s face it, Milton Keynes is no stranger to a sudden April downpour. We’ve all done that frantic dash across the Xscape car park only to end up completely soaked. But the team over at iFLY thinks they’ve finally cracked the code on damp clothes—and their solution is totally wild.
They’ve just announced the launch of “iDRY”. Essentially, they are taking their massive, state-of-the-art indoor skydiving wind tunnel and turning it into what they reckon is the largest tumble dryer on the planet.

The concept is surprisingly simple. If you get caught in the rain, or if you’ve just come off the real snow slopes next door at Snozone a bit worse for wear, you can step into the tunnel. iFLY claims their wind tech will blast your soggy gear bone-dry in exactly 60 seconds.
They’ve even dialed in three different settings depending on how drenched you are:
- “Gentle Breeze” – For when you’re just a little damp.
- “Permanent Press” – The standard setting for everyday drying.
- “Heavy Duty” – An absolute whirlwind meant to tackle thick, soaked winter coats.
Brooke Rawson, the General Manager at iFLY Milton Keynes, seems pretty thrilled about the new setup. “At iFLY Milton Keynes, innovation is in our DNA,” she said. “With iDRY, we’re proud to unveil what might just be the world’s most high-powered tumble dryer. Perfect for drying off after a rainy day—just hold onto your socks!”
According to the venue, iDRY is officially open to the public today and accepting walk-ins. So, next time the British weather gets the better of you, you might want to skip draping your coat over the radiator at home and go stand in a wind tunnel instead.
